Traveled 91.5 miles today (and Dan had his first flat tire), from Pittsburg, Kansas to Toronto Dam near Cross Timbers State Park, Kansas.   Definitely looks just like I figured Kansas would look like - golden fields, straight roads, fairly flat terrain, nice people. Lots of farm fields ... And of course, crawfish and turtles :)   Still a few little hills with some ups and downs...especially right around here as there are a few rivers and lakes.  Was a nice breeze at our backs today and was very nice to be able to just ride a steady pace and chit chat most of the day.

We have a nice place to camp, and a free dinner at Hilyards Backwoods Bait and Tackle....thank you to Andy and Andrea for letting us stay here and providing us a place to shower too!

A crawfish saved...

and a turtle helped along the way

A reminder of how important the RR was to this part of the country
